i have discovered a new place to buy duty online: booktopia. $22.46 + $6.50 postage = $28.96, meaning u pay $4.01 over retail. if you buy more though its the same postage up to 100 books - unless im misunderstanding. it seems like a good option if u live in australia but not close to a decent bookshop - or if its incovenient to go shopping for something u might have to order & go back & collect, all the while paying for yr travel etc. if anyone tries this option, feedback on timeliness wd be great.

i got my copy of duty through booktopia - i live inland nsw so i find it quite good. i think duty arrived within a week.
one possible problem though, my most recent purchase (a five islands press title) turned out to be out of print, & i only found out after weeks of waiting & then emailing an inquiry. refund was propmpt though; i will probably continue to buy through them.
thanks for the feedback derek. unless someone sells me a bum steer (?!) i intend to only look at books in print.
curious to know what the 5 islands book was & whether u found a copy?
sorry, was looking for adrian wiggins' book 'the beggar's codex' or maybe devil's codex?
i guess this is good news for him if he has sold all copies?
derek - the beggars codex iss on

if that doesnt give u the exact page - its item #48 of 191 on the 5 islands catalogue
